Abstract
A method and apparatus provide reception of control signaling in a wireless communication network. A first device can communicate with a second device using serving cell operating on an unlicensed carrier. A preamble transmission can be sent to the second device in a first set of at least one Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol starting with a first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbol in a subframe sent on the serving cell. The first OFDM symbol can have a first cyclic prefix. A second OFDM symbol can be in the subframe to the second device such that the second OFDM symbol immediately follows the first set of OFDM symbols. Control information can be sent in a second set of OFDM symbols beginning with the second OFDM symbol to the second device. The second set of OFDM symbols can have a second cyclic prefix. The duration of the first cyclic prefix can be larger than the duration of the second cyclic prefix.
