Devices for guiding and conveying wire- or strand-shaped products, for example a cable (K) in a cable processing system, such as a cable stripping system. Provided here is at least one pair of transport devices (1a, 1b, 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b). At least one of the small secondary rollers (4a, 4b, 36) may be adjusted between at least one position in the conveying direction before the point of contact of the respective accompanying primary roller (1a, 1b, 30) with the product (K) and at least one second position in the conveying direction behind the point of contact of the primary roller (1a, 1b, 30) with the product (K).
