An optical glass includes, in weight percent: 15% to 36% of SiO2; 13% to 31% of B2O3; 4% to 27% of Al2O3; 0% to 19% of Ta2O5; 0% to 10% of ZrO2; and 0% to 10% of Nb2O5; wherein Ta2O5+Nb2O5+ZrO2≧7.1%; and has optical constants including a refractive index nd between 1.54 and less than 1.61 and an Abbe number νd in the range of 50 to 57; and wherein ΔPg,F that denotes the anomalous dispersion is −0.004 or less.
