The disclosure concerns a method for treating a material in a static magnetic field having an intensity of more than 1 Tesla, including the following steps:

    a first step to heat the material,a second step to apply to the material a thermal shock and/or thermomechanical treatment and/or chemical treatment,wherein during at least the second treatment step, the material is subjected to the magnetic field while being held in position within the magnetic field.
