The present invention relates to a method for detecting at least one target microorganism that may be present in a sample, comprising the steps of:

    a) bringing into contact, in a container: said sample, a medium that enables the growth of the target microorganism(s), and a cell population capable of being lysed by the target microorganism(s);b) subjecting the whole to a temperature that promotes the growth of the target microorganism(s); andc) observing, in real time, lysis of the cell population indicating the presence of the target microorganism(s).
