Abstract
A toepiece (10) for a binding device for securing a boot to a gliding board comprises a fixed part (11) which is intended to be secured to the gliding board, and a mobile part (12) which is mounted on the fixed part with a possibility of relative movement (T) with at least one transverse component and on which two jaws (13d, 13g) are mounted so as to pivot about a substantially longitudinal axis (Ag, Ad). The toepiece (10) comprises a lever (16) that is actuable from the outside of the toepiece (10) and takes up a blocking position in which blocking elements (25d, 25g) that are integral with the lever (16) prevent the jaws (13d, 13g) from tilting so as to keep the toepiece (10) in a closed configuration in which the jaws (13d, 13g) retain the boot.
