Abstract

The present invention relates to dyes of formula (1), wherein each of the residues D₁ and D₂ represents a radical of formula (2), wherein Ar₁ represents the tetravalent radical of a carbocylic or heterocyclic aromatic compound, R₁, R₂ and R₃ are each independently of the other hydrogen, C₁-C₁₂alkyl, C₁-C₁₂alkoxy, halogen, —OH, —CN, —NO₂, —CF₃, —SO₃H, —NHCOR₄, —COOR₅, —CONR₆R₇, —SO₂NR₈R₉, —NR₁₀SO₂R₁₁, —SO₂R₁₃— or —ZCH₂CH₂Q, wherein Z is —O—, —SO₂—, —NR₁₂—, —CONH— or —NHCO—, Q represents —OH, C₁-C₁₂alkyl, —SO₂R₁₃—, —NHR₁₄—, —OCH₂CH₂OH, —SO₂CH₂CH₂OH or —NHCH₂CH₂OH, R₄ is C₁-C₁₂alkyl, R₅, R₆, R₇, R₈, R₉, R₁₀, R₁₂, R₁₃ and R₁₄ are each independently of the others hydrogen or C₁-C₁₂alkyl, and R₁₁ is C₁-C₁₂2alkyl, with the proviso that at least one of the residues D₁ and D₂ is a radical of formula (2) wherein R₃ is —COOR₅, —SO₂NR₈R₉, —SO₂R₁₃— or —ZCH₂CH₂Q, dichromatic and trichromatic mixtures containing these dyes and the use of these dyes for dyeing or printing hydroxyl group-containing or nitrogen-containing fibre materials.
