Abstract

Erosion control apparatuses are provided for equipment pads. In one embodiment, a silt fence that acts as a soil erosion barrier is provided for attachment to an equipment pad. In another embodiment, a percolating fabric layer is provided that causes water to seep and spread slowly or gradually in an unsteady pattern, minimizing erosion. In another embodiment, a multi-layer fabric assembly is provided that has a first, ground-penetrating fabric layer joined to a second, ground-overlaying fabric layer. In another embodiment, corner and side wall pieces that interlock to form a continuous soil erosion barrier are provided for an equipment pad. An installation tool is also provided to aid installation of the erosion control apparatuses.
