Abstract

An atomizing device (1), an inhaler and a method for dispensing a liquid formulation (5) are proposed. An insert (2) comprises a cylinder (4) filled with the liquid, an atomizing nozzle (7) and a piston (6). The piston is moved in the cylinder to pressurize the liquid and force it out of cylinder through the atomizing nozzle in order to generate a spray (13). The insert is received in a holder (3) which is sealed. The insert is moved within the holder so that the sealing (9) is ruptured before the spray is generated.
