Abstract
The invention concerns a homogeneous bed of particles of a catalyst, said catalyst comprising at least one amorphous matrix, at least one noble metal, at least one additional metal M and at least one halogen, and in which, for a catalyst particle,
- CPt is the local concentration of noble metal Pt;CM is the local concentration of additional metal M;CX is the local concentration of halogen;said catalyst being in the form of a homogeneous bed of particles, in which across the diameter of the particle, at least 70% of the values CPt/CM or CPt/CX differ from the mean local ratio by at most 30%, and in which the mole ratio M/Pt in the catalyst is in the range 1.8 to 6.
