Abstract
A flame-retarder agent for a polyester-based fiber comprising, as flame-retarder components: triphenylphosphine oxide (A) represented by the following formula (1): ##STR00001## and at least one compound (B) selected from the group consisting of an organophosphate ester-based compound (B.sub.1) and a bismaleimide-based compound (B.sub.2), the organophosphate ester-based compound (B.sub.1) being represented by the following general formula (2): ##STR00002## [in formula (2), R.sub.1 to R.sub.6 each represent one selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms], and the bismaleimide-based compound (B.sub.2) being represented by the following general formula (3): ##STR00003## [in formula (3), R.sub.7 represents an arylene group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms].
