When necessary, the composition or their crude extracts can be separated by chromatography to obtain dehydrocavidine or dehydroapocavidine. Dehydrocavidine, dehydroapocavidine or their respective composition can be used in manufacturing medicines for treating viral hepatitis, hepatic injury, influenza, AIDS, tumors or arrhythmia.
