The invention relates to a pod ship propulsion System comprising a housing (3) connected to a ship hull (2), an electric drive motor (8) mounted inside the housing at least one propeller (4) disposed outside the housing, wherein said electric drive motor is connected to the propeller by means a hydrodynamic gear (10).
