Abstract
A glass containing 5 to 25 mass % of P.sub.2O.sub.5, 0 to 15 mass % of B.sub.2O.sub.3, 0 to 5 mass % of SiO.sub.2+GeO.sub.2, 21 to 50 mass % of BaO+SrO, 0 to 3 mass % of Li.sub.2O+Na.sub.2O+K.sub.2O, and 35 to 65 mass % of Nb.sub.2O.sub.5, not substantially containing PbO, satisfying Nb.sub.2O.sub.5/(BaO+SrO)=0.85 to 2.20, having a dielectric constant of 15 or greater, a dielectric loss of 10.0.times.10.sup.-4 or less, and a resistivity of 1.0.times.10.sup.16 .OMEGA.cm or more.
