A compound selected from those of formula (I): ##STR00001## wherein: X and Y represent a group selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, alkyl, trihaloalkyl and NR.sub.aR.sub.b, wherein R.sub.a and R.sub.b are as defined in the description R.sub.1 represents hydrogen or alkyl R.sub.2 represents a group selected from hydrogen, alkyl, --OR''.sub.a, --NR'.sub.aR'.sub.b, --O-T.sub.a-OR''.sub.a, --NR''.sub.a-T.sub.a-NR'.sub.aR'.sub.b, --NR''.sub.a--C(O)-T.sub.aH, --O--C(O)-T.sub.aH, --O-T.sub.a-NR'.sub.aR'.sub.b, --NR''.sub.a-T.sub.a-OR''.sub.a, --NR''.sub.a-T.sub.a-CO.sub.2R''.sub.a and --NR''.sub.a--C(O)-T.sub.a-NR'.sub.aR'.sub.b, wherein R'.sub.a, R''.sub.a, R'.sub.b and T.sub.a are as defined in the description R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent hydrogen or alkyl A represents a group of formula --CH(R.sub.5)--CH(R.sub.6)--, --CH.dbd.C(R.sub.7)--, --C(R.sub.7).dbd.CH--, --C(O)--CH(R.sub.8) or --CH(R.sub.8)--C(O), wherein R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are as defined in the description its isomers, N-oxides, and addition salts thereof with a pharmaceutically acceptable acid or base, and medicinal products containing the same which are useful in the treatment of cancer.
