Cefdinir crystalline salts of formula (I), ##STR00001## in which n ranges from 1 to 3, the preparation and use thereof for the preparation and purification of cefdinir are herein disclosed. The salts of formula (I) can be obtained from cefdinir intermediates or crude cefdinir by treatment with phosphoric acid.
