Abstract

A fungicidally active compound of the formula: a) ##STR00001## wherein Q is --NY--NH--, --N.dbd.N--, or ##STR00002## X is oxygen, sulfur, sulfoxide, or sulfone; n is 0 or 1; Y is hydrogen, C.sub.1 C.sub.4 alkanoyl, C.sub.1 C.sub.4 haloalkanoyl, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 straight chain or branched alkoxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 C.sub.4 alkoxy(C.sub.1 C.sub.4)alkoxycarbonyl, C.sub.1 C.sub.4 alkyl, or C.sub.1 C.sub.4 haloalkyl; R.sup.1 is C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy, C.sub.3 C.sub.6 branched alkoxy, C.sub.3 C.sub.6 cycloalkoxy, phenoxy, benzyloxy, C.sub.2 C.sub.6 alkenyloxy, C.sub.2 C.sub.6 alkynyloxy, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 haloalkoxy, silyloxy, (C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy)-carbonylmethoxy, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 thioalkoxy, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkylamino, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.3 C.sub.6 branched alkyl, (C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy) C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy, or (C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy)carbonyl; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each, independently, hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.3 C.sub.6 branched alkyl, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 haloalkyl, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy, C.sub.1 C.sub.6 haloalkoxy, cyano, or (C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy)carbonyl; R.sup.4 is C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkyl; and Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 are each independently, carbon or nitrogen, with the proviso that when Z.sup.1 is carbon, X is oxygen, and R.sup.2 is hydrogen, then R.sup.3 cannot be hydrogen; b) ##STR00003## wherein R.sup.5 is C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkoxy; and R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are, independently, halo or C.sub.1 C.sub.6 haloalkyl; or c) ##STR00004## wherein R.sup.8 is C.sub.1 C.sub.6 alkyl; and R.sup.9 and R.sup.10, independently, are halo or C.sub.1 C.sub.6 haloalkyl. and a method for controlling fungi using the compound.
