Abstract
The object of the invention is an explosive ammunition (1) having a fragmenting structure comprising an explosive charge (3) configured in a splinter-generating shell (2). This ammunition is characterized by comprising a case (7) enclosing the shell (2) and containing means implementing a mechanical stress differential during ammunition ignition at the outer surface of the shell (2), where this differential enhances splinter generation and is distributed over a regular, 3D grid.
