This system consists of (A) at least one ligand (I) and (B) at least one nickel compound chosen from nickel complexes of zero oxidation state; .pi.-allylnickels; and compounds of the bis(allyl)nickel type ##STR1## where E, E'=O, S; X, X'=P, As, Sb; R.sup.1, R'.sup.1 =H, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkylaryl, halogen, OH, alkoxide ##STR2## where R'=a hydrocarbon radical of the C.sub.1 -C.sub.15 type; --SO.sub.3 Y where Y=Li, Na, NH.sub.4.sup.+, NR'.sub.4.sup.+ (R'=C.sub.1 -C.sub.15 hydrocarbon radical); R.sup.2, R'.sup.2, R.sup.3, R'.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R'.sup.4 =alkyl, arylalkyl; and R=divalent radical.
