A process for preparing a compound of the formula ##STR1## comprising reacting a compound of the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 is nitro or halo, or a salt thereof, with a compound of the formula R.sub.1 SX (III) wherein X is hydrogen or alkali metal.
