A compound of the formula ##STR1## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R.sup.1 is selected from (R.sub.3)C(.dbd.O)--N(R.sup.4)-- and (R.sup.3)(R.sup.4)N--C(.dbd.O)--; R.sup.2 is selected from --OR.sup.5 and --N(R.sup.5)(R.sup.6); n is 0, 1, 2 or 3; X is selected from oxygen and sulfur; and R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are independently selected from hydrogen, alkyl, heteroalkyl, aryl, aryl(akylene), heteroaryl, heteroaryl(alkylene), carbocycle, carbocycle(alkylene), heterocycle, and heterocycle(alkylene); as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing said compound. The compounds and compositions are useful in, for example, the treatment of inflammatory events in an animal subject.
