C. to 150.degree. C. under a pressure ranging from 1 through 5 atmospheric pressures to weaken the silk substance to not greater than 0.02 g/d in tensile strength, dealkalizing and drying the silk substancepowdering the silk substance into a crystalline superfine silk powder below 3 .mu.m in average particle diameter, and dyeing the crystalline superfine silk powder with a natural or synthetic color material, or mixing the crystalline superfine silk powder with a natural or synthetic color material.
