Abstract
The present invention provides a new compound which shows slow and continuous blood pressure reducing action and is useful as an antihypertensive agent. The invention resides in a quinazoline derivative of the following formula (I) and its pharmaceutically acceptable salt: ##STR1## in which, each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is H or an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are combined to form an ethylene group; each of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R.sup.5 is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; each of R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and n is 2 or 3. The invention further resides in an antihypertensive agent containing the above compound.
