Abstract
A method and an apparatus for printing an image on a print medium with a liquid developer which includes a liquid carrier and a toner dispersed in the liquid carrier. The image is printed by forming a toner image having the toner from the liquid developer, and transferring the toner image to the print medium under pressure. By adjusting a complex viscosity coefficient of the toner forming the toner image to be transferred to a value satisfying the formula: 1.times.10.sup.4 <.eta.<1.times.10.sup.6, wherein .eta. represents the complex viscosity coefficient (Pa.multidot.s) of the toner, the toner image to be transferred to the print medium is controlled.
