Abstract
The invention relates to the design, construction and use of eukaryotic cell lines useful in the identification of inhibitors of .beta.-amyloid processing. More specifically, the invention relates to in vitro assays capable of identifying or quantifying a 4.2 kDa .beta.-amyloid protein. The present invention also provides for DNA and protein molecules for the design, construction and use of eukaryotic cell lines useful in the identification of inhibitors of .beta.-amyloid processing.
