Abstract
The present invention relates to the ectoparasiticidal use of cyclic depsipeptides of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3 and X.sup.4 are substituents described herein, which are effective for controlling ectoparasites, and to ectoparasiticidal compositions containing the depsipeptides.
