Abstract
This application relates to methods for treating humans suffering from, fibromyalgia or other somatoform disorders where inhibiting reuptake of norepinephrine is a benefit. The methods comprise a compound having a pharmacological selectivity of serotonin (K.sub.1)/norepinephrine (K.sub.1) of at least about 5000. Examples of such compounds include reboxetine, and more preferably optically pure (S,S) enantiomer of reboxetine.
