Abstract

The present invention relates to a compound of general formula (I) wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 represents one or more, same or different substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, hydroxy, mercapto, trifluoromethyl, amino, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, (C.sub.2 -C.sub.3)olefinic group, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkoxy, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)akylthio, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkylamino, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkoxycarbonyl, cyano, --CONH.sub.2, phenyl, or nitro; further R.sub.2 can be hydrogen, and R.sub.3 can be carboxy and carbamoyl; R.sub.4 represents hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, or allyl; X represents oxygen or sulphur; Q represents --(CO)--, --(CS)--, or a bond; Y represents (C.sub.5 -C.sub.15)alkyl; (C.sub.2 -C.sub.15)olefinic group; (C.sub.3 -C.sub.10)monocyclic hydrocarbon group; or phenyl; any of which may be optionally substituted by one or more, same or different substituents selected from the group consisting of the formula R.sub.5 defined below; (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl substituted by one or more substituents selected for the group R.sub.5 ; or a group of the formula --(Z--O).sub.n --Z, wherein Z is a (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, n is an integer >1; and no continuous linear sequence of atoms in the group Y exceeds 15; R.sub.5 represents halogen, hydroxy, mercapto, trifluoromethyl, amino, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkoxy, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkylthio, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkylamino, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkoxycarbonyl, cyano, azido, nitro, --COOH, --CONH.sub.2, --CONHR', or COONR'R' wherein R' represents (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a hydrate or solvate thereof. The compounds are valuable in the human and veterinary therapy. ##STR1##
