Abstract
The present invention is to provide a novel 5-iodo-4-phenethylaminopyrimidine derivative represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a halogen atom, a C.sub.2-4 acyloxy group or a hydroxyl group; R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C.sub.1-4 alkyl group, a C.sub.1-4 haloalkyl group, a C.sub.1-4 alkoxy group or a C.sub.1-4 haloalkoxy group; n is an integer of 1 to 3; and * represents an asymmetric carbon atom, useful as pesticides, a synthetic intermediate thereof and processes for producing these compounds, and pesticides containing the 5-iodo-4-phenethylaminopyrimidine derivative(s).
