Abstract
An apparatus for forming containers with reinforced edges, comprising: a roll for feeding a flexible film; a forming collar upstream of a first tube around which the film is wrapped; a device for heat-sealing the longitudinal flaps of the film wrapped around the tube so as to form an enclosure, wherein the first tube tapers into a second tube and at the tapering region there is provided at least one insertion element which acts at right angles to the surface of the film, so as to form at least one rib which is directed toward the inside of the enclosure, and further comprising a sealing device for at least partially heat-sealing the at least one rib.
