Abstract
A reforming apparatus of the type including an indirect heat exchange zone for the reforming reaction of a gaseous flow comprising methane and steam into CO, CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2, is provided with a plurality of floating-head tubes containing a reforming catalyst, a chamber for collection of the reaction products positioned downstream of the reaction products from the apparatus.
