Abstract

Alkoxyimino-substituted bicyclic derivatives or salts thereof having an excellent effect of controlling diseases and insect pests are disclosed. These derivatives are represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents, for example, a hydrogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl group, a halogenated C1-C6 alkyl group, a C3-C5 alkenyl group, a halogenated C3-C5 alkenyl group, a C3-C5 alkynyl group or a halogenated C3-C5 alkynyl group, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 independently represent, for example, a hydrogen atom, a C1-C3 alkyl group or a halogenated C1-C3 alkyl group, A represents, for example, an oxygen atom, n represents 0, 1 or 2, X and Y independently represent, for example, a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-C3 alkyl group, Z represents C(CO.sub.2 CH.sub.3).dbd.CHR.sup.8, C(CO.sub.2 CH.sub.3).dbd.NOCH.sub.3, C(CONHCH.sub.3).dbd.NOCH.sub.3, C(CSNHCH.sub.3).dbd.NOCH.sub.3, N(CO.sub.2 CH.sub.3)OCH.sub.3, N(CONHCH.sub.3)OCH.sub.3 (R.sup.8 represents, for example, a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group or a methoxy group), and U, V and W independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl group, a cyano group or a nitro group.
