A compound which is a 2-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)-5[(2H-pyrrol-2-ylidene)methyl]-1H--pyrrole of formula (I), wherein R1 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-C.sub.5 alkyl; R2 is a C.sub.1-C.sub.5 alkyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is useful as an immunomodulating agent and for treating adult-T-cell leukemia-lymphoma. 1
