Abstract
Disclosed are compounds of formula I having a strong musk-like odor: ##STR1## In formula I, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrogen or methyl, with the proviso that when R.sup.1 is methyl, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, and when R.sup.1 is hydrogen, R.sup.2 is methyl. The compounds of formula I may be in the Z-and/or in the E-form. Methods of making the compounds of formula I and compositions containing such compounds are also disclosed.
