A facsimile device (1) having paper-supply holding mechanism (2) for holding at least one sheet of paper (3) and having thermal printing device (14) for printing the sheet of paper (3) by a device of a thermo-transfer foil (7) includes additional mechanism (36) by which an unnecessary consumption of thermo-transfer foil (7) can be avoided.
