Abstract
A glycidylester of the general formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.4 are the same or different C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl or C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 cycloalkyl groups, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are the same or different and are H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl or C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 cycloalkyl groups. The glycidylester is used in a thermosetting resin composition, comprising also a curing compound and preferably an advanced resin product. The thermosetting resin composition can be applied for outdoor durable coatings, having excellent resistance against acid rain.
