Abstract
Process for the production of an aromatic amine by reacting an aromatic hydrocarbon with ammonia at a temperature of less than 500.degree. C. and a pressure of less than 10 bara in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one metal selected from the group consisting of the transition elements, lanthanides and actinides, preferably in the presence of an oxidant.
