Abstract
A heat resistant lubricating oil composition which exhibits high heat resistance and oxidation resistance under high temperature conditions, and can withstand severe working conditions, as in jet engines or gas turbines. The lubricating oil composition comprises a polyphenylthioether of formula {I} ##STR1## in a lubricating base oil, comprising any one of a polyol ester, dibasic acid ester, a polyphenyl ether, an organopolysiloxane and admixtures thereof.
