Abstract
Wax coated silica matting agent wherein the silica is an amorphous silica having a pore volume of at least 1.5 cm.sup.3 /g, preferably at least 1.8 cm.sup.3 /g. The wax coating is present in the range from 6% to 15% by weight of the matting agent and comprises a synthetic polyethylene wax.
