Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the protection of a turfgrass at a locus which comprises applying to said locus an isoxazole derivative of formula (I), wherein R is hydrogen or --CO.sub.2 R.sup.3, wherein R.sup.3 is as defined below; R.sup.1 is cyclopropyl; R.sup.2 is selected from halogen, --S(O).sub.p R.sup.4 and C.sub.1-4 alkyl or haloalkyl; n is two or three; p is zero, one or two; R.sup.3 is C.sub.1-4 alkyl and R.sup.4 is C.sub.1-4 alkyl; and to compositions containing the same. ##STR1##
