Abstract
Alkyl and/or alkenyl oligoglucosides can be produced at high reaction rates by a process in which glucose having a particle size distribution of at least 80% in the 20 to 300 .mu.m range is subjected to acidic acetalization with fatty alcohols. Products having a high percentage content of mono-glucosides are obtained.
