Abstract
A process for improving the wear and corrosion resistance of ferrous metalarts consists in immersing the parts, which have previously been treated using a nitriding, diffusion technique, in a molten salt bath comprising carbonates, nitrates, hydroxides and oxygenated alkali metal salts.
