Abstract
Water-soluble, biologically decomposable carbonic acid polyesters having the general formula (I): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents a straight- or branched-chain, saturated or monounsaturated alkyl residue having from 6 to 22 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen or methyl group; R.sub.3 represents hydrogen or the group: ##STR2## n is an integer between 0 and 10; m is an integer between 5 and 16, and z is an integer between 1 and 3 are disclosed. The use of these compounds for preparation and lubricating agents for synthetic fibers is also disclosed.
