Abstract
Herbicidal compositions which comprise one or more compounds of the formula: ##STR1## or salts thereof, where: A is --CH.dbd. or --N.dbd.; R.sup.1 is alkyl, alkoxy, halo or --NR.sup.7 R.sup.8 ; R.sup.2 is alkyl or alkoxy; R.sup.3 is hydrogen, alkenyl or alkynyl, or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkanoyl or alkoxycarbonyl; R.sup.4 is hydrogen or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl; R.sup.5 is halo or substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl; and X is --CO.sub.2 R.sup.6, --CONR.sup.7 R.sup.8 or --CN; in which R.sup.6, R.sup.7 and R.sup.8, which may be the same or different, each represent hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, or one of R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 represents substituted amino; in association with a suitable carrier and/or surface active agent, together with the compounds of formula I per se where R.sup.5 represents isopropyl, and/or X represents methoxycarbonyl, and salts thereof.
