Abstract
The invention relates to a silicone elastomer having reduced compression set which is obtained by heating a composition comprising: (a) an organopolysiloxane having an average of at least two Si-bonded aliphatically unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radicals, (b) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule, a platinum catalyst which is capable of promoting the addition of silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms to the aliphatically unsaturated monovalent hydrocarbon radicals, and (d) an iron-manganese spinel. to an elevated temperature.
