Abstract
A process is disclosed for preparing peroxidic perfluoropolyethers containing perfluoroalkylenoxy units (CF.sub.2 --CF.sub.2 O) and (CF.sub.2 O), which is characterized in that tetrafluoroethylene and oxygen are reacted in a solvent at a temperature not exceeding 50.degree. C. and in the presence of one or more compounds having one or more F--X bonds, in which X is selected from the group consisting of F, O and Cl.
