Abstract
A synthetic lubricating fluid comprising at least one ester or its derivative represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein: n is an integer of 0 to 5 and m is an integer of 0 to 5, with the proviso that the sum of n+m is 1 to 10 inclusive; R.sub.1 is independently selected from hydrogen and C.sub.1 to C.sub.8 alkyl groups, and R.sub.2 is independently selected from hydrogen and C.sub.1 to C.sub.3 alkyl groups.
