Abstract
A hydroxyphenyl group-containing siloxane compound represented by the following general formula (I), containing at least one R.sup.2 in a molecule to acquire an aptitude for modification of polycarbonate and polyester resins: ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sup.3 represents a monovalent organic group containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R.sup.1 represents R or R.sup.2 ; R.sup.2 represents ##STR2## m and n are each 0 or a positive integer, provided that m+n is 1 or above, and at least one R.sup.1 is R.sup.2 when n is 0.
