Abstract
A forgery proof safety paper comprises, on its surface and/or in the body of a paper substrate, at least one compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is H or OH, and R.sub.2 is H, COOH, CHO, COR, COOR or alkyl, R being a substituted or unsubstituted, linear, cyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon chain.
