Fluted roller for a single face corrugator comprising grooves extending around the periphery thereof, the bottom of the grooves being deeper than the bottoms of the corrugation of the fluted roller, wherein the grooves extend at an angle unlike 90.degree. to a surface line of the roller running parallel to the axis thereof.
